Bridge of Allan, Stirling – New-Build Tarmac Driveway with Cobble-Effect Borders
At this large, recently built private house in Bridge of Allan near Stirling, the driveway was initially rough hardcore and sand. UK Roadworks Group installed a cobble-effect block-paved border on a full concrete bed, prepared the driveway with MOT Type 1 hardcore and surfaced it using hot 10 mm tarmac. The completed photograph shows a broad parking and turning area beside the house, framed by curved, pale-coloured blocks along the lawn.

After
The work carried out
From rough ground to a prepared driveway
The starting surface was rough hardcore and sand associated with the new-build property. Driveway preparation included MOT Type 1 hardcore before the hot tarmac was laid.
Concrete-bedded cobble-effect border
The cobble-effect block border was installed on a full concrete bed. It follows the curve of the lawn and defines the edge of the large driveway, contrasting with the darker tarmac finish.
Hot 10 mm tarmac surfacing
The prepared driveway was surfaced with hot 10 mm tarmac. The finished photograph shows the new surface extending around the house frontage, linking the approach with the parking and turning space.
