A family tradition in surfacing.

Our family’s involvement in the surfacing industry spans more than six decades, with practical skills and knowledge passed down through at least four generations. UK Roadworks Group Limited carries that tradition forward today, combining the experience of those generations with specialist equipment and a hands-on approach to every project.

As a family-run business, we take personal pride in the work we deliver and the relationships we build. From the first conversation to the finished surface, our aim is to provide straightforward advice, dependable workmanship and a result suited to the customer’s property and its everyday use.

Our own team. Direct responsibility.

We do not subcontract our workmanship. All surfacing work is carried out by us and our own highly trained team, with direct oversight of the preparation, installation and finishing. This keeps responsibility clear and allows us to maintain consistent standards throughout the job.

Whether the project is a private driveway, a farm access road or a busy commercial yard, we bring the same care to the work: thorough preparation, suitable materials, careful laying and compaction, and attention to the edges, joints and final finish.

Our customers include estate owners, farmers, business owners, private homeowners and local authorities. We understand that an estate road, an agricultural yard and a commercial car park each have different demands, from heavy vehicle movements and drainage to safe access and keeping day-to-day operations running.

We discuss those requirements before work begins and agree a practical scope and programme. We also welcome tender enquiries and surfacing packages from councils, utility companies and principal contractors, with the agreed workmanship delivered by our own team.

High standards, from the ground up.

A surface has to do more than look good on the day it is laid. We assess its base, drainage, levels, access and intended use before recommending the preparation and surfacing specification. Our standards apply to every stage, including the work beneath the finished surface.

We carry out tarmac driveways with optional block-paved borders, road and car park surfacing, farm lanes, repairs and tar & chip surface dressing, with a choice of aggregate colours. We also provide road planing for roads, car parks, schools and other paved areas.

Clear agreements before work begins.

Every project is agreed in a full written contract covering the preparation, materials, scope, price, VAT, payment terms and guarantee. Customers receive the cooling-off period and cancellation information required for their contract. Any early-start request is agreed in writing.

A five-year workmanship guarantee.

All our work is backed by a five-year workmanship guarantee, subject to the written terms supplied for your project. We explain the coverage and aftercare requirements with your quotation, so you know what is included and how to care for your new surface.

Qualified personnel. Paperwork prepared.

We hold full public liability insurance, and our personnel hold the relevant New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) qualifications and CSCS cards for their work. Insurance and qualification records are available for your project requirements.

We prepare site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), with the supporting assessments and documentation needed for the agreed work. We coordinate site requirements, relevant permits and handover information with the client before work begins.
