Kilwinning, Ayrshire – Tarmac Driveway with a Brick-Red Block Border

An existing block-paved driveway in Kilwinning, Ayrshire was excavated and all waste removed. We installed a new woven geotextile membrane, built up the base with MOT Type 1 hardcore and fitted a brick-red block-paved border before resurfacing with hot tarmac. The work carried out

  1. Excavation and waste removal

    The previous block paving was excavated and all waste was removed from the site.

  2. Woven membrane and MOT Type 1

    A new woven geotextile membrane was laid and the driveway base built up with MOT Type 1 hardcore.

  3. Brick-red block-paved border

    A brick-red block-paved border was fitted to define the driveway edges.

  4. Hot tarmac finish

    The prepared driveway was resurfaced with hot tarmac, completing the change from block paving to a continuous tarmac surface.

We prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for the agreed work, with site assessments and supporting safety information appropriate to the job.
