UK ROADWORKS GROUP
Dalry, Ayrshire – 1,800 m² Farm Road Surface Dressing
A large farm-road surface dressing project in Dalry, Ayrshire, covering approximately 1,800 square metres. UK Roadworks Group finished the access road with hot tar and chip, using a specialised light quartz-grey granite aggregate bonded with bitumen. The pale stone creates a distinctive gravel-effect appearance along the long approach through the farmland. This project shows an alternative to a black tarmac finish for rural access, with the selected aggregate colour carried consistently along the road. Preparation and the treatment specification for another farm road are agreed after assessing its existing construction and traffic.
