Machine-laid and hand-laid asphalt
We select the laying method to suit the area, access and agreed construction. Machine laying can be used for accessible roads, larger driveways, car parks and yards. Hand laying allows us to work on smaller sections, confined areas, edges and local reinstatements.
A project can use both methods. We plan the preparation, material deliveries, joints, rolling and transitions between sections as one surfacing package.
- New tarmac and asphalt surfaces
- Resurfacing and replacement of existing areas
- Machine laying for suitable larger sections
- Hand laying for smaller areas and restricted access
Tarmac repairs, patching and reinstatement
Our general tarmac work includes potholes, patch repairs, ramp repairs, broken edges and reinstatement after excavation. We assess the damaged area and surrounding pavement before setting the limits of the work.
We also welcome utility and council reinstatement packages for footpaths and roadways, including surfacing after cable and fibre-cable works.
Factories, yards, docks and commercial premises
We undertake asphalt surfacing enquiries for factories, industrial units, warehouses, docks, shipping yards and transport yards. Working areas can include access roads, staff parking, delivery routes, loading approaches and ramps.
Vehicle weights, turning movements, existing construction and the way the site operates help determine the specification. We agree work sections and access arrangements before starting.
Charging points, cable routes and surrounding surfacing
We provide tarmac surfacing and reinstatement around EV charging points, parking bays and associated cable routes. This can include repairs to excavated areas, adjoining footpaths and roadway surfaces.
The surfacing package is coordinated with the client or installing contractor. Send the layout, excavation details and required levels so we can agree the work around equipment bases, covers and surrounding surfaces.
Private driveways, schools and everyday destinations
We cover private tarmac driveways and shared access, alongside school grounds, nursing homes, care homes, pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and caravan parks. Each site needs a surface and work programme suited to its users.
Tell us about pedestrian routes, residents, customers, school access, deliveries and emergency access. For farms and rural properties, include agricultural vehicles and seasonal traffic.
Hot box hire
We offer hot box hire by arrangement for tarmac work. Send the location, dates, expected hire duration and intended application so we can check availability and suitability.
We confirm the equipment, delivery or collection, operating arrangements and whether materials or labour are included in the written hire quotation.
How we approach the work
- Assess the base, levels, drainage and access.
- Agree the materials, layers and laying method.
- Prepare, repair and regulate as required.
- Machine lay or hand lay and compact the specified asphalt.
- Inspect the finish and explain aftercare.
The existing pavement and vehicle use determine the required layers and thicknesses.
