A farm lane and private access drive near Perth, Perthshire, resurfaced with 60 mm of machine-laid hot tarmacadam. The work included general surface preparation, machine laying MOT Type 1 hardcore, rolling and compaction, followed by tarmac surfacing and power rolling.

The work carried out

  1. General surface preparation

    The existing lane and access areas were prepared for resurfacing.

  2. Machine-laid MOT Type 1 hardcore

    MOT Type 1 hardcore was machine laid prior to resurfacing.

  3. Rolling & compaction

    The hardcore was rolled and compacted to prepare the base for the tarmacadam.

  4. 60 mm hot tarmacadam & power rolling

    A 60 mm layer of hot tarmacadam was machine laid and then power rolled to finish the lane.

We prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for the agreed work, with site assessments and supporting safety information appropriate to the job.

We provide the documentation required for our agreed scope, including insurance and qualification records, work methods and relevant assessments. Site, permit and handover requirements are coordinated with the client before work begins.
