UK ROADWORKS GROUP

Bitumen Spraying Services – Scotland & the Scottish Islands

UK Roadworks Group provides bitumen spraying services for subcontractors, tarmac companies and surfacing teams across Scotland and the Scottish islands. The photograph shows a tanker spraying binder onto a road as part of a surface-dressing operation. Our spraying service can cover the specified binder application for hot tar and chip, or an agreed tack coat or bond coat before asphalt surfacing. These are different applications: a bond or tack coat forms part of the asphalt construction, while surface dressing combines its binder with stone chippings. Send the specification, area, programme and site access details so we can plan the appropriate material, equipment and mobilisation with your team.

During

Bitumen tanker spraying binder during a road surface-dressing operation. Separate subcontract services are available for specified tack coats and bond coats before asphalt work, with coverage across Scotland and the Scottish islands by arrangement.

The work carried out

  1. Subcontract spraying enquiry

Tell us whether the job requires surface-dressing binder, a tack coat or a bond coat. Include the product specification and application requirements rather than assuming the same material suits all three tasks.

  2. Site preparation and access

Confirm who is responsible for sweeping, repairs and site readiness, together with tanker access, turning space, protected features and traffic arrangements.

  3. Coordinate with the laying team

Agree the work area and sequence with the contractor carrying out chipping or asphalt laying. The supplied photograph illustrates surface-dressing binder spraying, not a finished asphalt bond-coat job.

  4. Mainland and island mobilisation

We consider work throughout Scotland and the Scottish islands. For island projects, include the location, transport restrictions and proposed dates so travel and delivery arrangements can be confirmed.
