UK Roadworks Group resurfaced this large private-house driveway in Auchterarder, Perthshire. The existing drive included damaged tarmac and gravel areas. The work covered removal of waste, preparation and groundwork before the new tarmac surface was laid. The photograph shows the sweeping approach dividing around the central lawn, with the resurfaced driveway following the kerbed edges towards the house. Rollers and cones are visible while the surfacing work is under way.

The work carried out
Existing tarmac and gravel driveway
The project began with a mixed driveway surface: damaged tarmac alongside gravel areas. The agreed work brought these areas into the resurfacing scheme for the private approach to the house.
Waste removal and groundwork
All waste from the works was removed and preparation and groundwork were carried out before resurfacing. This stage formed part of the driveway project, alongside the visible finished surface.
A continuous surfaced approach
The new tarmac follows the broad entrance and both curved branches around the lawn. The photograph records rolling during the work and shows how the dark surface defines the approach between the lighter kerbed edges.
