Edinburgh – Sports & Fitness Centre Car Park Resurfacing

UK Roadworks Group carried out this car park resurfacing project at a sports and fitness centre in Edinburgh, Scotland. The work included preparation of the parking area, laying the base course and completing the surface with 10 mm SMA tarmac. White line marking and designated disabled parking bays formed part of the finished parking layout. The photographs show the prepared area within the kerbed boundaries and the resurfaced car park with its new bay markings. The resurfaced Edinburgh sports and fitness centre car park, finished with 10 mm SMA tarmac and white bay markings. Designated disabled parking bays were also included in the project.

The work carried out

  1. Preparation of the parking area

    Preparation work established the area ready for the new pavement layers. The first photograph shows the prepared aggregate area, kerbed boundaries and setting-out marks during the works.

  2. Base-course construction

    A base course was laid as part of the car park construction before the final tarmac topping.

  3. 10 mm SMA tarmac finish

    The car park was finished with a 10 mm SMA tarmac surface course. The completed photograph shows the resurfaced parking area beside the sports and fitness centre.

  4. White lining and disabled parking bays

    White parking bay lines and designated disabled parking bays were included in the project’s finished layout.
