The work carried out

  1. Machine grading, levelling & rolling

The existing roadway was machine graded, levelled and rolled to prepare the surface for treatment.

  2. MOT Type 1 repairs & regulation

Low areas and potholes were built up with MOT Type 1, levelled and compacted to establish an even, prepared base.

  3. Two-coat tar & chip surface dressing

Two coats of hot polymer latex bitumen surface dressing were machine applied with stone chippings, then rolled to bed the aggregate into the binder.

  4. Black Armourseal finish

The surface dressing was finished with our black Armourseal coating to achieve the requested black, tarmac-look appearance.
