Morayshire – Castle Estate Road Repairs & Surface Dressing

A country castle-estate project in Morayshire covering several thousand square metres of existing road. The old tarmac had broken and damaged areas, potholes, cracks and rutting associated with trucks and agricultural traffic. UK Roadworks Group repaired the potholes before applying the surface-dressing treatment. The photograph shows bitumen spraying and stone spreading during application, rather than the completed estate road. For other Moray estates, the condition of the road beneath the new dressing remains an essential part of the assessment: repairs and any necessary reconstruction are considered before the final treatment. Our service includes machine-applied hot tar and chip and two-in-one combi-unit application, with equipment selected for the agreed work and access.

The work carried out

  1. Damaged estate tarmac

    The existing estate road included potholes, cracking and areas of rutting. The project covered several thousand square metres of estate road.

  2. Pothole repairs before dressing

    Potholes were repaired before the surface-dressing application. For a new enquiry, we assess the depth and cause of failed sections and identify any further preparation needed.

  3. Bitumen and aggregate application

    The road received machine-applied surface dressing after the repairs. The working photograph shows the binder-spraying and stone-spreading stages.

  4. Estates and commercial grounds
