Pothole repairs and tarmac patching
A small damaged area and a larger failed surface need different scopes of work. We inspect the edges, depth, surrounding pavement and any underlying problem before proposing patching or more extensive resurfacing.
The work can include removing failed material, repairing the base, preparing the edges and laying and compacting the specified asphalt. Pothole repairs can be a standalone job or part of preparation for resurfacing or surface dressing.
- Individual potholes and scheduled repair packages
- Failed tarmac patches and broken edges
- Private driveway, car park and access-road repairs
- Commercial-yard and public sector repair enquiries
Ramp repairs, loading areas and working yards
We repair asphalt surfaces on ramps, entrances, loading approaches, delivery routes and working yards. This includes factories, industrial units, distribution centres, docks, shipping yards and transport yards.
Tell us about delivery schedules, turning areas and the vehicles using the surface. We assess levels, joints and drainage as well as the visible damage when defining the repair.
Cable, fibre and utility reinstatement
We reinstate tarmac and asphalt following utility excavation, including cable and fibre-cable works, service connections and trenches. Enquiries are welcome from utility providers, civil engineering contractors, property owners and site operators.
The reinstatement scope covers the surface construction agreed with the client. Please identify the excavation and backfill responsibilities, required layers, inspection arrangements and any supporting records before pricing.
- Power-cable and fibre-cable trench reinstatement
- Water, gas and other utility excavation reinstatement
- Surfacing around EV charging-point installations
- Local patches and wider reinstatement where specified
Council, footpath and roadway reinstatement
We welcome council, public sector and subcontract enquiries for footpath, footway and roadway reinstatement, together with planned pothole and patching work. Send the repair schedule, drawings, quantities, location list and required programme.
We review the client specification and agree responsibilities for access, permissions, traffic management and handover. Requirements are checked for the individual package before work is accepted.
Repairs at homes, businesses and visitor sites
We undertake repair enquiries for private driveways, schools, nursing homes, care homes, pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, caravan parks and other occupied premises. The proposal considers the surface and how people need to use the site.
Photographs, approximate measurements and a postcode help us assess the next step. Include any access that must be maintained and whether the damage affects pedestrians, vehicles or both.
How we approach the work
- Inspect and mark the repair areas.
- Remove failed material to a suitable sound edge and depth.
- Rebuild and compact the base where required.
- Apply the specified bonding treatment and lay suitable asphalt.
- Compact and finish the joints as specified.
Persistent standing water or a failing base may need additional work to prevent repeat damage.

Your questions
Can you quote from photographs?
Photos, approximate dimensions and the site location help with initial advice. A firm repair specification may require a site visit.
Can councils or contractors enquire about subcontract repairs?
Yes. Send the repair schedule, locations, specification and required programme. We will review the scope and confirm availability.
Do you carry out reinstatement after fibre or utility works?
Yes. We undertake surfacing reinstatement following cable, fibre, water, gas and power works. Please provide the trench dimensions, construction details and programme, including who is responsible for the excavation, backfill and any testing.
Can you repair ramps and loading approaches?
Yes. We assess the damaged asphalt, levels, joints, drainage and vehicle movements before specifying the repair to the ramp or approach surface.
Can you carry out footpath and roadway reinstatement for councils?
We welcome council and principal-contractor reinstatement packages. Send the location schedule, drawings, specification and procurement requirements so we can review the work and agree site responsibilities.
When is patching suitable instead of full resurfacing?
We assess whether the damage is local or part of a wider base, drainage or surface problem. The quotation explains the proposed repair limits and any preparation needed; larger failed areas may require more extensive work.
Can you attend an urgent pothole or tarmac repair?
Call with the site location, photographs and access details so we can check crew availability and discuss the work. Attendance and the proposed repair programme are confirmed for each enquiry.
