Deal with standing water and weak areas
Water collecting in dips, at an entrance or along damaged edges can indicate that levels, drainage or the supporting base need attention. Tell us where water gathers and how the surface behaves after rainfall so we can assess the cause before laying a new finish.
The survey considers existing falls, surrounding ground, entrances, covers and the proposed vehicle use. Drainage alterations and groundworks are included where specified in the written quotation.
Preparation matched to the site
The agreed work may include excavation, removing unsuitable material, building up low or soft areas, grading and compacting the base, and drainage or soakaway work where suitable. The scope depends on the existing construction and the proposed surfacing.
We agree the drainage arrangement and any permissions or work by others before starting. Construction depths, materials and discharge arrangements are specified for the individual project.
Driveways, roads and commercial sites
Drainage and preparation can form part of tarmac driveway installation, road surfacing, car park resurfacing or farm and estate-road improvements. Recurring damage can also be assessed alongside pothole and tarmac repairs.
Arrange a site assessment
Send your postcode, photographs of the whole surface and any standing water, approximate measurements and the type of vehicles using the area. Include drawings or an existing specification if available. We operate throughout Scotland and the Scottish Islands, with access and availability confirmed for your project.
