Loading entrances, factory yards and turning areas

At a delivery entrance, visible rutting or a broken patch can affect both access and drainage. Tell us where trucks brake, turn and stand so we can assess the required construction and the boundaries of the repair. A thin covering over a failed area may leave the underlying problem unresolved.

Our Grangemouth gallery includes a factory and warehouse entrance repaired after truck-traffic rutting. For a similar site, we discuss delivery windows, the route around the work and when the repaired surface can be reopened.

Patching around shared and public access

For residential entrances, schools, care premises and business car parks around Stirling and Falkirk, describe the pedestrian routes and access that need to be maintained. We can review several repair areas as one planned package and set out the agreed scope.

Council and principal-contractor enquiries should include drawings or a defect schedule, the client specification and arrangements for permissions and traffic management. Our Stirling carriageway project is an example of completed patching; requirements are agreed separately for each new contract.

Patching, resurfacing or rebuilding?

  • Local pothole or failed patch: remove loose or failed material to suitable boundaries, assess the base, then prepare, lay and compact the specified asphalt.
  • Widespread worn surfacing: assess whether road planing and a larger resurfaced section are appropriate.
  • Sinking, repeated damage or standing water: investigate the base, levels and drainage before covering the area. Additional preparation may be needed.

The repair depth, material, bonding treatment and joint finish are specified for the site. A new patch may differ in colour from the weathered surface around it. See our full tarmac repair and reinstatement service for the work we undertake.

Your repair questions

Can you quote for several damaged areas at one site?

Yes. Number the areas on a plan or photographs and give approximate dimensions. We assess them together and identify the preparation, materials and access arrangements in the proposal.

Do you repair rutted warehouse entrances?

We assess the surface and underlying construction, including the loads and turning movements. The quotation can include removal of failed material, base repairs and replacement asphalt to the agreed specification.

Does 24-hour opening mean a guaranteed immediate repair?

Our enquiry line is open 24 hours. Attendance and the work programme depend on the site, scope, weather, material supply and crew availability, and are agreed with you before work is booked.
